Depends.: Aneurysms are enlarged arteries. In the head, can cause headaches. In the abdomen, unusually no symptoms, unless it gets very large or ruptures. Ruptured aneurysm is the dreaded complication. Patients can bleed to death, quite rapidly after a ruptured aneurysm. The risk of rupture is related to the size of the aneurysm. Commonly, repair is suggested before such a bad event.
