Lipitor (atorvastatin): Lipitor (atorvastatin) is a cholesterol-lowering drug that is usually well-tolerated. However, in some patients, adverse effects such muscle injury or liver dysfunction can occur. One may present with muscle pain/weakenss if muscle cell damage occurs. With liver dysfunction, one may not have any symptoms or have vague, non-specific symptoms such as fatigue, loss of appetite. etc.
