A member asked:

Do type 2 diabetics take insulin pills?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Hi. At this point, insulin is still only available by injection. An inhaled insulin was recently approved by the FDA and should be available to the public soon. Oral insulin is being tested; too soon to say if it will work. There are a slew of other, non-insulin, drugs type 2's can use to treat their diabetes. The main thing is good control of the diabetes. Good luck!
