OCD: is a complex disorder and not generally just a chemical disorder. Behavioral modification therapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy.... looking at the thought patterns comprising it are rather important to having control over OCD instead of it controlling you!

I agree with Dr : Wachman. By combining medication with psychotherapy, you will have better control over your life and be less symptomatic. You may have been younger and less receptive to therapy before or not had the right therapist or type of therapy. Give it a try again and find the right treatment for you.

OCD: It is best to consult with a Clinical Psychologist who has expertise in multiple forms of treatment. if you had a physical exam by a Dr. & don't have a physical illness, consult with a Clinical Psychologist for psychotherapy with ZOOM sessions & a Psychiatrist for medication. Fears and anxiety could be heightened due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Stay safe & hopeful to elevate your immune system.
