Alcohol: May be not so much heart valves as heart itself. It can cause alcoholic cardiomyopathy, which means that heart is big and also getting weak.

Decreased EF: A study was conducted with 100 medical students.Echocardiogram was done on all of them & 50 were given 2 pegs of whisky & the other 50 with placebo. Repeat Echo revealed 10-15% derease in EF of whisky group Keep off alcohol if you have congestiveheart failure. So far no proved effect on cardiac valves.
