For over 5 years i've been experiencing severe bruising pain in my rectum/anus at night. i've googled it and proctalgia fugax comes up. please advise.

Need exam: There are many things that can cause rectal pain. It would be a good idea to see your doctor and get a rectal exam. Proctalgia fugax has to do with muscle spasms in the pelvic muscles, but you need to make sure that there is nothing more serious going on.
