OTC: Over the counter medications are available to help with cough. I do not know what age group your are referring to. Over the counter medications such as Mucinex (guaifenesin) DM or Robitussin DM are available as cough suppressants. If this doesn't help, try Vicks on the anterior chest wall, if this doesn't help call your primary care provider for additional assistance.
