A member asked:

Could bright red heavy bleeding lasting 7 days with clots and cramps/dizziness/back pain be implantation or period?

Either: It is possible that it could be either one - but it does sound more like a period. If the period is due, the pregnancy test would be positive if conception has occurred.
Dr. Wayne Ingram
Specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Neither: This sounds like pathologic menstrual bleeding that needs to be evaluated by a GYN MD. Clots and bright red bleeding could be fibroids or other GYN conditions.
