Nausea, diarrhea: Doryx (doxycycline) is a slow-release form of doxycyline, which is a tetracycline-type antibiotic. This family of antibiotics has a lot of side effects, but most are uncommon. It should not be taken by a pregnant woman or a child under 8 years of age. Common side effects include headache, nausea, acid stomach, joint pain, diarrhea, rash, yeast infections, menstrual cramps, skin discoloration, abnl kidney test.
