Can you take motrin, if you are currently taking doryx (doxycycline)?

Yes: Yes, there is no interaction between the two. Just know that the two together can cause increased upset stomach.

Yes: Be sure to take medications with a full glass of water. If stomach upset occurs take with food. Do not take Doryx (doxycycline) just before going to bed as it may not dissolve well when you lay down resulting in throat pain (plenty of fluids reduces this issue). Females should discuss use of extra birth control while on doryx (doxycycline). Report any severe abdominal distress while on these medications.
