Pepto Bismol (bismuth subsalicylate): Due to the potential for adverse effects in the nursing infant, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends salicylates be used with caution in nursing mothers. Hopefuly, you either pumped and have some stored up milk or your baby is also taking bottled formula. Wait at least 12-24 hours after and you should be fine. Discuss any meds even OTC meds with your Dr. when breast feeding.
