Bacteria: in your intestinal tract break down food and produce methane and hydrogen sulfide causing the odor. Improve the health of your gut bacteria by eating probiotic foods such as yogurt, sauerkraut, kimchee, or aged cheeses. You can also take probiotic supplements. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!

ColonicFlora notFood: Very few odors in flatus a function of food eaten, yet odors are powerfully altered with changes in Colon Flora. Granted what you eat can/will alter the dominant Flora over time. The foods you are cutting out are generally healthy, suggest change approach & include healthy foods. Study DietDoctor.com, etc. Trial & error, taking various probiotics may help shift the flora and flatus smells.
