Which is better abreva or denavir (penciclovir)?

HSV: Abreva is otc and am not at all impressed with its utility. Denavir (penciclovir) requires a prescription. Quite frankly the effect that any topical anti-herpes medication has on a relapse of HSV is minimal at best.
