Back pain: Perhaps the problem is something called acute (or chronic) sacroiliitis, an inflammation of the sacroiliac joint. While not serious it can certainly be painfully annoying. Sometime, sacroiliitis can signal certain forms of arthritis such as polymyalgia rheumatica. Another possibility is piriformis syndrome and lumbar disk issues.
