Of course!: Cutting down on or eliminating soda from the diet is one of the first things I recommend to patients who are overweight. If it has sugar, it has lots of extra calories that are "empty." If it's artificial sweeteners, you expose yourself to chemicals that may be bad for you in the long run (we're not sure yet). Better yet, try to eliminate it except for occasionally (e.g. Once a week). Good luck!
