Possible..: It is not possible to give you a certain diagnosis on what these skin changes are without taking a close look at them, however, yes there are "brown spots" that can appear as part of the aging process. In any case, if this is something new to you or appear very dark, itch, bleed or have an irregular shape make sure you see a Dermatologist.

Lipofuscin: Lipofuscin (aging pigment) is known to accumulate in the brain, heart, and other organs in the body (like skin, resulting in "age spots"). The European drug Centrophenoxine (meclofenoxate) or the closely-related dietary supplement DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol) are known to reduce the cellular burden of lipofuscin. Usual dose of DMAE is about 500 mg daily.
