Is it ok to eat with dental wax on?

Dental Wax: Are you using the wax for braces? It's not going to hurt you, you may just feel a funny taste in your mouth and you should check with your dentist or orthodontist if your are having regular pain or soars in your mouth

Yes but: You may be much more comfortable and enjoy your eating with the wax off, though. If you need the wax all the time, I would talk to the dentist and/or orthodontist and get the source of your needing the wax smoothed down or taken care of.

Yes: it's the same wax used to help form chocolate candy. If you swallow it it works out OK in the end. Important, however, that you see your Dentist or Orthodontic Specialist to soften whatever it is that is sticking out and annoying you.

Yes but: you can also take it out, eat, then put it back in. No harm if swallowed though, which I think was your primary concern.

Yes: It is okay to eat with dental wax. While you might swallow some, it is FDA approved and inert. Wont hurt you.

Yes but: Swollowingor eating dental wax is harmless but don't make it a main course. before you eat...try to remove as much as you can because if you do eat with it and it is protecting something sensitive...it will fall off anyway, once you start eating.. so remove the wax and save room for something better like chocolate.

Of Course : ): Dental wax is just to stop the orthodontic wire(s) from digging into the soft tissues of the mouth. Eating with dental wax is most of the purpose of using it in the first place. Although, when you are done eating, you might have to add more of the wax ; )

Carefully: dental wax is used around the brackets during orthodontic treatment so the sharp edges do not scrape against the lips or cheeks. A small amount could be applied into the brackets and eating carefully should not dislodge it.

Of course: You can eat with dental wax on but hot foods may dissolve it slightly or it may come off when you chew. Dental wax is non-toxic, so don't worry if you swallow some.

Sure: it is definitely ok to eat with dental wax on. In fact, it makes it more comfortable to eat. Just be careful to pay attention if it comes loose, just re-attach it. Have a blessed day!!

Wax eating: Am assuming this is to cover an orthodontic bracket. yes you can eat with it on but may need to replace it when done eating as you may swallow it but no harm if you do.

Remove it: It is best to remove any dental wax prior to eating.

Yes...Carefully: Dental wax won't hold up well to hot foods/drinks, as it will melt. It also won't give you much protection if you're eating hard or crunchy foods. However, if you're eating something soft, you should be fine. More importantly, however, is to make sure your braces are in-tact and not broken or poking your lips/cheeks. Perhaps you should consult your dentist/orthodontist?
