A member asked:

Washed and dried a shirt last week if blood was on it can it still be infected if i touch it or if i put new clothes on it can it get on them ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: When would you have touched the shirt? Before the blood had actually DRIED and you threw it in the washer? Or after you had washed it & it no longer had the stain on it? If before & IT WAS A FAIR AMOUNT & you had a cut or other open wound or rubbed your eyes then, that could be a problem. If after it was cleaned then, there's no problem. Shouldn't be a problem for other clothes washed with it.
