See your surgeon: What kind of hernia repair- groin or abdominal? Either way, the most likely causes of the bump are a normal fluid collection (seroma) that will go away on its own, or it could be a recurrence of your hernia. Especially if you have a low grade fever, you need to call your surgeon and probably need to be seen to rule out a problem.
