A member asked:

Is ciprofloxacin good for bladder infectons?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sometimes: Cipro (ciprofloxacin)floxacin is one antibiotic used to treat bladder infections. It is a broad spectrum potent antibiotic. Often we choose Macrodantin or Bactrim (sulfa) to treat first. If we always choose the "strongest" antibiotic first eventually bacteria develop resistance to the antibiotic, then even the stronger antibiotic like Cipro (ciprofloxacin) wont work well.
