Check potassium: Flupirtine is unique among pain killers in that it works by opening potassium channels. It is not marketed in the US so I have no experience using it. Numbness or parasthesias in the legs followed by rapidly progressive paralysis may be due to AIDP (Guillain Barre) so its important that you have a neurological assessment immediately.
