A member asked:

What all precautions i should take to prevent getting eye infection from a family member..?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Conjunctivitis trans: Eye infections such as bacterial conjunctivitis are very contagious. Spread of the infection can be minimized by encouraging the infected person to frequently wash their hands, avoid touching the eyes, and taking their medications as directed. Towel and bed linens sharing should be avoided, and household contacts should also practice good handwashing practices.
