Chiari Malformation: is a developmental disorder in which the cerebellar tonsils extend down through the opening of the skull. The condition can worsen with certain activities like jumping on a trampoline or bungee jumping. There are varying degrees of protrusion and as one might expect varying degrees of symptoms depending on compression of the upper spinal cord or other structures. Its treatable and rarely fatal.
