If not she may have gotten a mild case of pertussis also known as whooping cough, This is where the cough is severe and the whoop is when the child inhales at the end. have her see the doctor tomorrow and have her checked out.

The illness should resolve within a week or so, although the cough can persist for much longer than that. Based on what you said she really doesn't need to see a doctor unless her condition worsens.
