Genital rashes-kids: Treatment of rashes in the genital area is dependent on the cause. Irritant rashes from harsh laundry detergents or soaps responds to eliminating the irritant and moisturizing. Those from insect bites, scratches or other trauma are prone to infection, soap and water + antibacterial creams are used. Fungal infections are less common but require Rx medications.
