Actually helps you: If you are transgender and identify yourself as male, then you really don't want menstrual periods to aggravate your situation. In these cases medication is often given to repress the periods or the uterus is removed.

Depends: Are you taking T? If so, suppression is expected. If not, ask more about this "imbalance." PCOS, infrequent ovulation, etc can all caused missed periods, but have different health risks and treatment. Meanwhile, if you are considering medical transition (hormones), try Planned Parenthood. They offer trans* care & care for menstrual issues. They may help for all concerns you mention.
