I had a chest xray and the results came back boarderline. what does this mean? i have been coughing for 6 wks very poorly for 2 wks but on mend now.

Without the films: It's not possible to provide you more detail. Sorry! If your doctor can't be reached about this now, you could try calling first thing in the am. Make an appointment and see if you can have your doctor go over the X-ray with you and explain what is there. I think that is your best bet. Feel better soon!

Borderline CXR: It likely means that pneumonia could not be definitively diagnosed but that there was a shadow seen that could be compatible with infection. Since you seem to be improving, watch how you feel in the next few weeks. If recovery not complete, another GP visit should be made and perhaps another CXR. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!

Hard to say: Why did you get the chest X-ray? Pneumonia? Heart problem? The best answer will come from the doctor that ordered these tests. They can review and answer your question easier than we can.

Had a cough 7 week now,some occasional sneezing,occasional smoker, chest xray came back all clear gp said it virus could last 6 month?surely not?
Cough for almost 2 months now. saw 2 doctors for it about month ago - told lungs sound clear. had a chest xray & CT scan of chest (~2 wks ago)- came back clear w/ "perfect lungs". cough dry w/ very little clear mucus. taking mucinex DM - helps.
Cold-like symptoms for 2 months: w/cough, chest & throat & some back pain. Fatigue too. Getting better. Still some pain; breathing better now. X-ray few weeks ago showed things normal; heart is good. Will this person be ok? Go 2 doc again? Explain?
