Many causes and aids: When you say a "pinched nerve" I have to ask "where"? If you mean a nerve root coming from the spinal cord, then many things can cause the pinch such a bulging vertebral disc, bonny overgrowth, spinal stenosis, etc.. It's important to get an exam and an MRI. Depending on the severity you may get medications like NSAIDS (advil), steroids, gabapentin or antidepressants. You could also need surgery.

Many causes: An accident, pregnancy, arthritis, a fracture can cause nerves to be pinched. The doctors can give steroids, pain medicines, muscle relaxants , physical therapy and referral to Orthopedic doctors if indicated. Good luck.
