Congratulations: On your decision to stop using alcohol and sedatives. Withdrawal from alcohol should be nearly complete by now, but withdrawal from benzos (Lorazepam and Ambien) could take another week or more and does carry some risk of seizures. I suggest you make an appointment with your primary care ASAP and discuss situation frankly. If short-term detox in a facility is indicated your PCP can arrange that.

Lorazepam?: This probably needs to be tapered if you've been on it a while. Conversion to a longer acting benzodiazepine like Klonopin (clonazepam) can help with the tapering process. I suggest you enlist the aid of a neuropsychopharmacologist. (Any good, caring and available doctor would do for now ) When all is said and done you should find that the ultimate treatment is better than the untreated underlying condition.
