Cath/dialysis: There is an increased risk of needing dialysis when your creatinine pre cath/intervention is abnormal. The angiographers/interventionalists deal with this everyday and take hydration and dye precautions to decrease this risk. The risks/benefits need to be considered for every procedure and you should discuss with your doctors.
