Mono?: Would also consider a different diagnosis of infectious mononucleosis given the enlarged lymph nodes and continued sore throat, fatigue and elevated white blood cells.. But check with your physician to see if this was not already performed.

Seasonal flu: is very common viral infection. Usually the condition resolves on its own with home care. Drink water and get a good rest. NSAIDs (e.g. Aleve) are also recommended every 6 hours. If concerned, see your PCP for reevaluation. Congratulations on quitting smoking!

Possibly mono: You could possibly have monocucleosis caused by a virus. If still feeling sick your doctor can do a quick test for mono in the office
