A member asked:

I have a swollen meatus on penis. what has caused this and does it go away ? it is also red but has very little pain.

More info needed: Most likely this is benign. The mild pain suggests inflammation if some sort. I suspect thus will resolve on its own. Please discuss this with your primary medical provider or specialist if it lasts more than a week. Hope that helps.

See your PCP: I can understand your concern for the swollen meatus. Urethritis is inflammation of the urethra. It can be gonoccocal or non gonoccocal. The proper diagnosis is the key to successful treatment. See your PCP for evaluation, tests and treatment if needed.
