Pseudochol deficient: Pseudocholinesterase deficiency is an inherited enzyme abnormality that results in abnormally slow breakdown of drugs such as succinylcholine (typically used during anesthesia for surgery). The drug thus takes lower to break down and causes a longer than expected effect - sometimes lasting hours as opposed to minutes.
