Is it a UTI: or is it urethritis? There may be a chemical in the lubricating jelly that you are sensitive to. This could cause inflammation and UTI like symptoms. Have you tried using a different lubricating product? Take care.

Sex causes: manipulation around the urethra, which may become contaminated with bacteria. The lubricating jelly may hold more bacteria causing more contamination. You should empty your bladder soon after sex to "clear" the urethra of bacteria and lessen the chance of infection. This may help.
