Virus vs. allergy: Initially, both viruses and allergies can produce similar symptoms such as clear runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, slight cough, etc. However, symptoms from a viral infection should resolve within 10-14 days, while allergy symptoms will linger until treated or until the allergen is removed.
