Has she seen GI?: I would advise that your daughter be seen by a gastroenterologist for evaluation of her symptoms. There are medications that can be used to help alleviate the symptoms. In addition, elevating her head at night may provide some symptomatic relief. Working to find the cause and prevent symptoms would be my recommendation for long-term care.

Chronic reflux: Chronic reflux needs to be assessed preferably by a pediatric GI doctor. As she is 4 yrs old and having nightly symptoms she is likely going to have to be placed on medicine - if that is indeed what she has. Discuss this with her pediatrician, detail her symptoms so that they may make the proper recommendations/referrals.
