Bloody noses: Bloody noses are very common in children, especially during times of illness.The mucus in the nasal/sinus passage ways can be irritating and the membranes in the inside of the nose are easily damaged, thus the source of the bloody nose. Petroleum jelly placed on the inside of each nostril 1-2x daily and frequent use of saline nasal mist to aide in thinning mucus secretions would be recommended.
