Many possibilities: There are many possible causes of burning pain in the thigh. Sometimes we can figure it out with a detailed history, but usually a physical exam and testing will be indicated to confirm the cause. Common causes include neuropathy, often caused by diabetes, and sciatica or nerve root irritation from a disk in your lower back. Ask a Doctor in HealthTap Prime, or see your doctor.
