Those 2 things: in combination are not absolutely indicative of infection, but the likelihood of a wound infection is higher if there is a foul odor. How did you come to have this wound? Did you recently discover it without any knowledge regarding how it came to be? Have you been bitten or is it a surgical wound? Clearly you need to have this examined. And it should be looked at asap, today if possible.
