Retest in a few days: There are lots of opinions about this, and how long to wait to retest. If your periods are usually regular, and your estimate of when your period was expected is accurate, the test at 8 days should have been positive if you are pregnant. I would test again in a week if no period; if negative, see your provider. Good wishes!
