A member asked:

This morning my ears felt quite wet and waxy (unusual for me) i cleaned them and fine now, i'm sure it was a whitey colour liquid. what could this be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe just wet wax: If the wax in the ear is saturated with water, it will often assume a white soft consistency. Some people develop eczema of the ear canal skin which often weeps a whitish thin fluid. If you have a perforation of the eardrum, you can develop similar drainage. You should have the ear examined if the problem persists or if pain or hearing loss develop.
