"They" say that?: Hi. "They" are incorrect. Your hypothyroidism is treated. Glucocorticoids (prednisone, methylprednisolone, etc) are very good anti-inflammatories, but can have undesirable side effects. Excess glucocorticoid does not cause hypothyroidism, and since your hypothyroidism is treated, you should have no problem with it. I hope the methylprednisolone is only needed for a brief time. No reason why not: Methyl Prednisone does not cause any undesirable effect on Hypothyroidism which is treated with Thyroid hormone replacement therapy and there is no reason why you can not take Methyl Predisolone.
