Non compliant for few weeks of blood pressure med. cartia. since morning till now blood pressure 190/120 hr 110. headache.

ER: Go to the ER for evaluation and treatment now. Unsure what type of nasal spray you are using as some may actually make your condition worse. It is dangerous not to be compliant with your medication. It puts you at risk for strokes, heart attacks etc.

Emergency Room: This hypertensive emergency requires observation and slow decrease in blood pressure. It would be wise to call 911 and go to the Emergency Room.

Call MD: Blood pressure is not curable but only controllable. So treatment is a lifetime endeavor.Your medicine is only as good if you take them as directed. You should call your doctor now. Your BP is dangerously high if left untreated.

Restart med Call doc: Headache is likely due to your very high blood pressure, which is transmitted to your brain and other organs. You should restart Cartia immediately & call your doc. If headache gets worse or you get chest discomfort, then go to ER. High BP is a cause of heart attack, stroke & dementia. Whatever your reason for stopping Cartia, you need to work with your doc, not on your own to keep B P down.
