No: the only people who have been diagnosed with Ebola are two nurses that worked with a gentlemen who came to the U.S. With Ebola. There is no outbreak of Ebola in the U.S. There has been one death from Ebola and that case is from another country. You should be worried about the flu and make sure he gets his flu shot before traveling. 52,000 people died last year in the US from the flu!

Agree w Dr. Juchau: There are no active Ebola cases in Texas right now. One of the nurses from Texas is being treated at NIH in Bethesda, MD and the other at Emory Univ Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. The previous contacts of these nurses and pt zero (Liberian National) are being monitored for 21 days each. I would not be fearful of traveling to Texas or any other part of the US. Take care.
