A member asked:

1st ebola patient in dallas. how concerned are you about possible epidemic in the us? it seems they have no control over ebola. will it become airborn

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Somewhat concerned: In Sept. 2014, Texas doctors diagnosed Ebola in a man traveling from Africa. It's out there, but America is a huge country, so not to worry. Ebola is not very contagious unless there is close contact with a sick person. If there is an outbreak, but people stay apart from one another, the outbreak stops. Even though Ebola arrived here via plane flights from Africa, we don't call that "airborne".
