Xanax (alprazolam) and alcohol: This is a risky combination. I advise, no.

Wouldn't recommend: Your weight has nothing to do with it. Xanax (alprazolam) is used to treat anxiety, and alcohol is actually a drug which can itself induce anxiety in people who drink too much too often. In addition, there are drug interactions between them that can be dangerous, particularly if you drive or operate dangerous machinery, or need alertness (for child care etc.). Anxiety is better treated with other meds/therapy

Potentiation: Alcohol plus Xanax multiplies the effect of both drugs on the body. Not recommended. Probably on the label of your Xanax bottle.
