A hole: The bag of water is held together by amniotic membranes that have less integrity than an overfilled water balloon. Sometimes, they develop a "hole" and leak and re-seal, and sometimes they don't. Either way you need to tell your OB MD of this development as fetus' can get infected and die if the membranes are truly compromised.
