Go slow .....: As you know, the safest is to do this under a doctor's care. But many would agree that tapering by 10%/month would be safe. You are taking 450 mg/day now, so decreasing by 45/50 mg/day or taking 400 mg/day for a month should be ok, then 350 mg/day the next month, etc. Stop taper & see doc if problems. Usual problem: how to divide the pills. Best not to cut them, but you can. Good job quitting!

Slow, ask prescriber: You should talk to the person who prescribed the meds. If you are only taking for quitting, the normal dose is 150 mg twice per day, or once per day. (you wrote tid, or 3 times for day. Perhaps taking this for something other than quitting?) If you are fully confident that you won't go back to smoke, reduce very slowly over time.
