A member asked:

Have a small lump of about 7x4mm on back of hand for 4 wks. it grew in size for 2.5wks then started to shrink. what condition is it? is it lymphoma?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

?ganglion cyst: The most common lump that people get on the back of the hand is a ganglion cyst. It is caused when a bit of the synovium (lining of the joint) pops out in a joint space. They are benign and usually go away on their own. This is not a typical presentation for lymphoma. If you are anxious about it have your doctor take a look.
