Progressive?: Any new onset headache needs definite careful history and exam by a board certified Pediatrician, including fundoscopic exam. ( retina) Is there FH of migraine? Does he wake with headaches at night? Does he vomit with headaches? Do his headaches resolve with motrin? Is he drinking caffeine? The answers to these questions will help sort this out. Good luck!
